1. Information that may be collected

The collection of information may vary by app. Some apps may not collect personal data. Others may, when necessary for their operation, process information such as device technical data, usage preferences, information provided by the user, or data related to purchases, accounts, or support.

2. Website information

The Mais1App website may log basic technical information, such as browsing data, device type, browser, approximate location, pages visited, and access metrics. This may be done for operational, security, experience improvement, and performance analysis purposes.

3. App information

Each app may handle different information depending on its purpose. Simple apps may work without an account and without significant personal data collection. More advanced apps may in the future include features such as user accounts, cloud storage, purchases, subscriptions, AI-powered features, or personalized support.

When this occurs, Mais1App will seek to limit processing to what is necessary for the app's operation and the delivery of the proposed functionality.

4. How information may be used

Processed information may be used to:

• operate and maintain the site and apps;
• improve performance, stability, and user experience;
• respond to support requests and contacts;
• process app-specific features;
• comply with legal or regulatory obligations;
• prevent misuse, fraud, or abuse.

5. Purchases, subscriptions, and billing

When an app offers purchases, subscriptions, or paid content, financial processing may be handled by the App Store, Google Play, or another applicable payment provider. In such cases, Mais1App generally does not receive or store full card or payment data — only information necessary for purchase confirmation, support, and service operation, when made available by the responsible platform.

6. Third-party services

The site or apps may use third-party services when necessary for operation, hosting, analytics, authentication, purchase processing, storage, notifications, or other features. The use of these services may involve data processing in accordance with those providers' own policies.

7. Data retention

Information may be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose of processing, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, or maintain essential service features.

8. Security

Mais1App seeks to adopt reasonable measures to protect processed information. Even so, no method of transmission or storage is entirely risk-free, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

10. Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated over time to reflect changes in the site, apps, legal requirements, or operational practices. The most recent version will always be available on this page.

11. Meal X-Ray

Meal X-Ray analyses a photo of a meal. It works without an account. This is what it handles:

• Meal photo: sent only after you agree in the app, without location or other photo metadata, to our server and from there to an AI service from a third party (OpenAI) to analyse the meal. We do not store your photos.
• Text you type (corrections or answers about the meal): sent together with the photo for the same purpose, and not stored by us.
• A random installation ID and photo ID, created on your device and not linked to your identity, plus the IP address seen by our server: used only to apply the daily limit of analyses. The counters are deleted after 2 days; the server's technical logs are kept for a few days.
• OpenAI processes the photo and text under its API terms: it does not use them to train its models and may keep them for up to 30 days to prevent abuse.
• No advertising, no tracking across apps or websites, and no analytics in the app. Your settings stay on your device.
• Meal X-Ray gives general information about food. It is not medical advice.

You can withdraw your consent at any time in the app settings (Photos and AI). Without it, photos are not sent and the analysis does not run.
